POSITION CHARTER
TITLE
Vice President, Marketing
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The Vice President, Marketing will report directly to the President and CEO.
LOCATION
WebMiles, Inc. is headquartered in Utah. The Vice President, Marketing will bebased in Utah.
EDUCATION
Candidates will possess a Bachelors degree in either a marketing or businessdiscipline. A Masters degree in Business Administration is preferred.
EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITIES
Qualified candidates will have at least fifteen years of overall businessexperience, with significant experience with a firm providing e-commerce or Internetservices. Selected candidates will have progressed through positions of increasingresponsibility to a senior marketing management position within a high-growth company. Itis highly desirable that this person has managed an organization through significantchange, such as an IPO. He/she must have a proven expertise in developing and implementingcomprehensive, detailed brand marketing plans and programs nationally and internationally,and have demonstrated success in expanding an existing brand and creating new brandstrategies to ensure profitable growth. Experience in strategic market planning forInternet and non-Internet products, as well as a successful record for the tacticalimplementation of those strategies is essential. A demonstrated mastery in recruiting,developing and managing staff, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects and setpriorities is required. He/she must have outstanding oral and written communicationskills, and have the executive presence and credibility to be effective in presentationsand as WebMiles representative in the marketplace. This will be a well-organized,high-energy individual, with a strong work ethic, and have the ability to creativelyidentify new ways of looking at business challenges.
DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
The Vice President Marketing will provide a cohesive marketing vision and strategyfor WebMiles, and bring the existing communications, advertising and product marketingdisciplines together to form a cohesive, unified organization. Additional responsibilitieswill include:

The selected candidate will be a highly intelligent, energetic and matureprofessional. He/she will have a keen business sense, and the ability to function as asenior strategist with key member top management.
The desired candidate will also be self-directed and highly motivated with flexibilitynecessary to operate successfully in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, hands-onenvironment.
Most importantly, the selected candidate must have the interpersonal skills to quicklyestablish himself/herself as an intelligent manager and one who can be trusted to completeand establish new procedures and marketing programs.
COMPENSATION
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and will include a base salary,bonus, and equity opportunities. Relocation is available.
