TITLE
Data Specialist

LOCATION
This position will be based out of the Shelton, CT office.

EDUCATION
Bachelors Degree preferred.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
The Data Specialists will report to the Director, Technical Solutions.

REQUIREMENTS
The Data Specialist will have at least one year of technical programmingexperience with any two of the following technologies: C++, Visual Basic, COBOL, Access,SQL and C. Candidates must have a strong understanding of data structures and be capableof conceptualizing data concepts. Excellent communication skills required for interfacingwith clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Data Specialist will be responsible for working with the TechnicalSolutions Consulting team to convert data from new CMS clients’ existing applications(commonly Excel, Competitors’ DOS and Windows-based proprietary products, orLegacy-based applications) to their new data structures within CMS’ products(client/server and relational applications). Data Specialists also will perform ad-hocdata manipulation for existing clients due to acquisitions, mergers, or spin-offs. Thismay involve coding in C++, Cobol, Visual Basic, Access and/or SQL, and utilizing variousdata analysis, cleansing and manipulation tools. The Data Specialist is an integral partof the Technical Solutions team, providing technical implementation services to theirclients. Minimal travel required. Excellent growth potential.
