Byaddressing a universal need among brand owners, licensees, retailers and other relatedbusinesses to communicate more effectively and efficiently, LicenseNet™ enables allparties to reap the benefits of the low cost of doing business on the Internet, all thewhile assured that their data are being transferred intact within a secure environment.LicenseNet™ uses cutting-edge Internet technology to create a unique, secure,cost-effective way for brand owners and licensees to share product information and salesfigures accurately and instantly over the Internet in real time. Intranet/Extranetarchitecture replaces traditional client/server structure with a thin-client/web-serverenvironment that can reduce the costs of computer ownership by as much as 40%. Withheadquarters in New York City and a development office in Stratford, CT, there are nowover 30 employees.

POSITION TITLE
Chief Architect

REPORTING
The Chief Architect reports to the VP Development/Chief Technology Officer.

EDUCATION
BS degree or above in Computer Science, Math, Physical Sciences, or Engineering.

ROLE
The Chief Architect provides day-to-day technical leadership and coordination fornew software development projects. This position works with the CTO to define the overallHurricane Technology product architecture and to refine product concepts within thatarchitectural framework. The Chief architect is then responsible for the development ofspecific system level product designs and technical coordination of module/componentdevelopment teams to implement these designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical leadership and coordination across all Hurricane Technology produce developmentefforts. Specific responsibilities include:

• Lead the High Level Design of Hurricane Technology products.
• Lead the development of coding standards, development methodology, continuous process improvement, and project estimation.
• Provide technical review and facilitation for module/component teams.
• Supervise system level integration builds and QA testing.
• Participate in product concept design and technology direction setting.
• Design, implement, and test complex components for Hurricane Technology product development projects
• Investigate new technologies and perform risk-reduction technical investigations relative to product development projects.

EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have at least 12 years experience in positions ofincreasing responsibility in the design and development of complex distributed softwareapplications. At least 6 years of this experience will be in commercial products deliveredto market, with at least 2 years in Internet related products.

SKILLS
The successful candidate must be team oriented with exceptional skills incommunicating complex technical information and coaching development teams and individualprogrammers in software development. The applicant will demonstrate a deep understandingof distributed system architecture design, structured software design techniques, andmodern development methodologies. In addition, the candidate must have direct, hands-onexperience with Java, and JavaScript programming languages and the NT operating system.Additional experience should be primarily in modern object-oriented and system levelprogramming languages such as C and C++.

COMPENSATION
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
