Lead Quality Assurance Analyst

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the VP of Operations

EDUCATION
College Degree preferred, BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics

EXPERIENCE
Required Years: Five years experience testing software in a client serverenvironment.

Desired Skills: Able to write and execute test plans and test cases for both Web-basedand database client server applications. Able to write simple test routines in a scriptinglanguage (e.g., perl, VBScript.) Able to track errors and follow to closure. Able toinstall and administer a defect tracking system such as PVCS Tracker.

Desired applications and environments: Windows NT, Microsoft IIS, and various Webbrowsers.

Preferred: Development background. Strong writing and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
This engineer will join a small development team at a commercial Web commercecompany as the lead tester, working closely with the programmers to create a stable, highquality product. The engineer will select, install, and administer the company's sourcecode configuration management and defect tracking systems. The engineer will work withmanagement to put implement effective defect prevention processes. The engineer will beresponsible for all function level testing of the Web applications, critical Intranet, andthe production applications. Wherever possible, the engineer will automate testing casesto be used for regression testing.

This position demands a person with strong technical, troubleshooting, andcommunication skills.
