Our client, a $330 million marketing and service firm, headquartered inFairfield, Connecticut, with offices in Wilton, Connecticut; New York, Illinois, Maryland,Washington, and Germany, focuses on business-to-business direct marketing, best defined aspromoting an immediate, measured response from a precisely targeted audience via anycommunication medium.

The division we are currently working with is focused on three core areas of expertise:market technology consulting, market technology systems development, and interactiveproduction services. Their key software product, Dynamic Marketing Environment (DME), istoday’s most advanced technology for implementing "real time" event-drivenmarketing communications on the Internet. DME becomes the foundation for all marketingevents for integrating all channels and customer touch points, and by developingintelligent agents to drive auto-generation messages based on pertinent customeractivities via the Internet.

TITLE
Senior Software Engineer (Research & Development Group)

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the Vice President, Director of Development.

LOCATION
Wilton, Connecticut. 

EDUCATION
A four year college degree, preferably with a concentration in Math orComputer Science.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Software Engineer will be responsible for core application developmentin their Internet Systems. The entire development team is in Wilton, Connecticut.Applications are being developed in a Windows NT environment using Oracle as the database,with C++ and Java on the front end. The average system they are developing will encompassa 80 or 90 gigabit Oracle database.

The Software Engineer will be on the team to assist in the research and development ofinternet marketing applications to include: architecture, design, development andimplementation of the applications.

EXPERIENCE
The Software Engineer will posses at least three years of applicationdesign and development experience in a C/C++ Windows NT environment. Experience withInternet tools is preferred, as well as some experience with UNIX. Knowledge of the directmarketing industry or campaign management systems is a plus. The company is a fast-paced,high technology organization that is expanding rapidly, and looks for individualscomfortable in that environment.

SALARY
Commensurate with experience including annual bonuses upon performance and an attractivebenefit package.
