Our client provides sophisticated Internet market research decision support andplanning systems specifically designed for Internet advertisers, advertising agencies andWeb publishers, and recently introduced a system for online retailers and consumer brandmarketers. Internet market research decision support and planning systems help enableusers to effectively harness the power of the Internet as an advertising, marketing andretailing medium. The internally developed systems, which clients access through our Website, combine databases of consumer lifestyle, product preferences and demographic datawith interactive software platforms that enable users to perform queries and searches toplan their online marketing, retailing, advertising and sales strategies. The clientsrepresent a "who's who" of major Web sites, advertising agencies, onlineretailers and consumer brand marketers. Our client's mission is to become the knowledgestandard necessary to unlock the potential of the World Wide Web as a powerful marketing,advertising and retailing medium.

TITLE
Chief Development Officer

LOCATION
Stamford, Connecticut

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

EXPERIENCE

Management:  In-depth experience inmanaging or overseeing the development and launching of web-based commercial productsand/or systems, ideally for the business-to-business market. Specific focus on businessprocess engineering with the hands-on experience and organizational ability to manage aconstant flow of new releases.

In-depth understanding and experience in managing very fast-paced, "chaotic"application development, particularly as it relates to web-based products. Hands-onexperience in managing a company's IT infrastructure both from external and internalperspectives. External IT Infrastructure: Client-based products and services applicationdevelopment, and network administration. Internal IT Infrastructure: Accounting systems,workflow systems, hardware/software acquisition, time management, project management. Itis very likely that the successful candidate will come from the same environment as ourclient.

Technical:  The successful candidate will be recognized by their peers as aworld-class developer in Java and Oracle, and must be a strong proponent of the Internetand its potential. Code output should be superior in all aspects. The candidate will beexpected to mentor and train their team of people in Java, Oracle and Internetuses/potential. Current hands-on experience in Web product development is essential, andan in-depth statistical/mathematics education is a distinct advantage.

Personally:  The successful candidate will be a strong, charismatic leader whooperates at a high energy level and possesses a strong desire to grow the business,increase its profitability, and enhance shareholder value. This individual will beintelligent and analytical, a disciplined problem-solver and risk-taker with superiorcommunication skills. He/She must be a tough, resilient manager who can operatecomfortably in a highly competitive business environment, effectively evaluating differentapproaches and react opportunistically, when necessary, to create shareholder value. Thisperson must be able to drive cultural change, building trust and enthusiasm. The ChiefDevelopment Officer will lead by example rather than edict; empowering those aroundhim/her to implement required operating plans and tactics. Additionally, this person mustdemonstrate a strong commitment to mentoring and developing subordinates. As such, thisperson will serve as a catalyst for improvement in code output quality, and Internetopportunity recognition. Must be able to effectively delegate to direct reports andconsistently accomplish critical organizational objectives on time and within budget.Excellent communications and planning abilities for directing Our client's team ofdevelopers and maintaining a focused, goal-oriented production environment is essential,as is the ability to interact with the CEO and executive management to crystallize theirrequirements and architect products and systems that meet the company's ambitious releaseschedule.

COMPENSATION
Six-figure salary with equity participation and performance-basedbonuses.
