TITLE
Vice President, Engineering

LOCATION
Beaverton, Oregon

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position will report to the President and COO.

EDUCATION
An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required. AMasters degree of Business Administration or an advanced degree in Computer Science wouldbe desirable.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for developing and directing the entire engineering function of ourorganization which includes functional specification, design, development, testing anddocumentation of new and existing products. Will work in partnership with the ChiefTechnology Officer to deliver the product portfolio determined as required to satisfy ourcurrent market demands. This involves customer interface, formulating the long-termobjectives, overseeing the engineering budget and development schedules. Responsible forthe standards and practices used by the development staff, as well as managing and drivingthe morale of the engineering organization. Ensures the success of the company bydelivering state-of-the-art products which meet our customer’s high expectations.

EXPERIENCE
Qualified candidates will have experience in the MS Windows applicationdevelopment arena, client/server technologies and enterprise-wide application experience.Strong project management skills and a keen understanding of engineering processes is amust. Experience in a heterogeneous environment is desirable. Familiarity with performancemanagement/measurement systems and/or activity-based costing management experience is aplus. Knowledge of process simulation and business simulation is desirable. The successfulcandidate will have strong leadership skills and an established track record of buildingand growing an engineering team and the proven ability to bring products to market.
